Ta-Da!

It's a cold, grey, windy Easter day in Grey County at 2C, and it won't get any warmer. Hoping the spring will soon actually be sprung. Yes, the early flowers are out, and yes, most of the birds are back. But it's mighty frosty out there yet.
I've been dreaming of travelling in the warmer weather. So I went slooping through photos of travels past. And came across a file that Rob put together called "Ta-Da". Since early on in our relationship, he and I have taken silly shots wherever we go. So here are some of the highlights.

This one is in Lighthouse Park in Vancouver. It was our first big cross-country trip, and we were visiting friends Jane and Dana when they lived in North Vancouver. In 1995. Cripes we were young and skinny.

Here's a good one waiting for the Glenora Ferry. Shortest boat ride ever. It was early on in our Miata ownership (probably 1997ish), and we'd headed out to eastern Ontario for a road trip.
The ferry connects Prince Edward County and the Bay of Quinte at Adolphstown. It's a beautiful 10-minute sail if you're ever in the area.

Staying in Canada, we went to Cape Spear in 2009 (?) on a great long Newfoundland trip. It's the easternmost point in Canada.
Initially, we headed north from St. John's to L'Anse Aux Meadows to see the remains of an 11th century Viking settlement, which was the actual first contact from Europeans in North America. Epic voyage.
We've travelled overseas, too. Prague in 2004 was Rob's birthday gift to me for my 40th.

Can't remember why I got fixated on Prague, but glad I did. We stayed for 10 glorious days and explored a lot of the city. It's one of the only places that didn't get bombed during WW2. Truly stunning. Highly recommend.
Here's Rob doing a cheesy ta-da beside a fascinating statue of Franz Kafka.

Of course, we've been to Scotland numerous times. On this trip in 2007, we went to Britain (London, Edinburgh, Inverness) with Jane and Dana. Almost 19 years ago. Feels like last year. Anyhow.
On this day in late June, it was COLD in Edinburgh. Jane and I had to dip into one of the many wool shops to get some gloves. Of course I had to get red. And ta-da in front of Arthur's Seat, in Holyrood Park.
We've been a lot of places, with a lot more ta-da moments. So happy to have been fortunate enough to see all these incredible places. Until next week.
