Thanks for the memories

It's a beautiful day at the farmette. Chilly, but bright, and it's supposed to get to 17C. Nice.
I'm feeling nostalgic today. Probably because it's Thanksgiving weekend, and we just found out that Diane Keaton died. Seems like all the good ones are going at the same time. Redford, Goodall, Greene. I think Trump has something to do with it :)
Anyhow. I wanted to take a little inventory of the great times we've had together at this time of year. I needed to take some comfort in the great Thanksgivings passim that we've had here at the farmette and in other places.

Sister Sandy has had multiple Thanksgivings at the ranch over in Feversham. This humdinger was in 2023. Many of the Thorntons and some of the Harris clan were on hand that day to chow down, visit and goof around. Nice.
We've had a few Thanksgivings at the farmette. This one is from 2014 after the eating was done, and the girls of the family all were wearing hanky hats - a tradition around the Harris-Wilson household. Missing sister Barb (far right) for the past couple of festivities. So glad we were able to have her up to visit and make these memories while she was still with us.

In 2011, we went up to our friends Jane and Dana's cottage on Sturgeon Point for Thanksgiving. As you can see, the food was plentiful and the company quite satisfied with the fare. We have celebrated quite heartily at the Point, and have the pictures to prove it.

Big brother Dan hosted Thanksgiving in St. Thomas in 2010. He's the one on the far right.
Another great one with fantastic weather, fine food and cousins by the dozens.
And below is a real throwback from 1993, when Rob and I were first together. We rented this wee cabin at the Loughborough Inn in eastern Ontario for Thanksgiving that year. I think it was our first getaway from the city. It was also the last time the Jays won the World Series. Fingers crossed it happens in 2025.

Thanks for taking a trip down Thanksgiving memory lane with me. So grateful for the times we have together. Gotta get ready for making more memories and hosting tomorrow. Dan and the Thorntons are coming to the farmette. Yay! Until next week.
