It's a cold, wet day at the farmette. Again. It's only going UP to 12C. On May 25th. Cripes.
I did manage to get out yesterday between downpours to get mulch down around the raised beds and plant the raspberry, strawberry and hens and chicks I'd bought over the past week. Gotta try and get more seeds in the new veggie gardens today.
I had so many pics from our wee trip that I thought I'd run with some more of them.

Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) is known for more than its theatre, although the Shaw Festival is by far the main attraction.
We had some time between the show and dinner, so went strolling through downtown, and came upon this hat shop.
As my friends and family know, I cannot resist trying on the most flamboyant lids wherever we go. Here's one that's worthy of a day at Ascot, yes?

Here's a pic from many, many moons ago. I think it was the first time we went out to B.C. to visit with friends Jane and Dana. Mid '90s?
Man, we were young (ish). And can you tell Jane and I got on like a house on fire from the get-go?
Great memories.

Anyhow, back to the trip. Another tradition that Rob and I have kept up over the 30+ years we've been togther is our TA-DA photos.
This trip was no different, with Rob ta-daing the heck out of the Niagara River.
Finally, I had to show you this completely scrumptious higgledy-piggledy display in one of the greenhouses at Hamilton's Royal Botanical Gardens.
Our friends Mac and Pat truly are lucky to be able to be members of this extraordinary attraction.

Love having friends that we can laugh with, sponge off, and mostly immensely enjoy. Until next week.
Gratuitous cat photo courtesy of Fred, who is always ready for his closeup. So glad the little bugger is fine now. Until next week.
